Paper Vase

The paper vase can turn any bottle into a decorative vase. The paper vase consists of water-repellent paper which is put together in a triangular structure. With this structure most bottles can be wrapped, meaning the form can be adjusted by folding and rolling. They are made by hand in Mumbai.
They were invented by Pepe Heykoop, a Dutch designer. After completing his studies Pepe Heykoop founded a workshop in Mumbai. Together with the Tiny Miracles Foundation which was founded by his cousin Laurien Meute, he wants to

improve the living conditions of the Pardeshi community and allow them the opportunity for a better life. The goal is to get these people out of poverty and into the middle class until 2020. They want to accomplish this goal by providing information, by improving healthcare, creating educational programmes and by creating new jobs. Pepe Heykoop trains the people of the Perdeshi community so that they are capable of making furniture pieces which they can live from in the future.
