The Zen 8 with merino wool filling provides soft, firm lying comfort for in between, for simply lying around or when traveling or for light stomach / back sleepers as a full-fledged futon.
In combination with a Zen or Yasumi other than TWIN Futon, Zen 8 ensures lasting softness because it is as supple as it is strong.
You keep its effect permanently through good ventilation, because wool or the wool wax (lanolin), which makes the fiber stable, needs fresh air / oxygen for regeneration. Regular turning and occasional loosening / rolling up give it a long existence.
In the cotton version, which is always processed with organic cotton, Zen 8 is significantly different: more volume, but also considerably greater variability. The filigree cotton fibers cannot cope with the weight load in everyday life as much as the wool fibers and compress more in the lying area. Therefore, a cotton futon needs more attention, in the form of turning and rolling up and occasional sunbathing in summer. You will be amazed what that does.
We make the Zen 8 / cotton so that vegan or highly sensitive people have a cuddly pad. Combine with Zen or Yasumi futon, depending on your body weight.

The Zen Collection
Zen futons are made of 100 % natural materials. Wool, with or without horsehair or cotton with coconut (vegan). Or three fibres, cleverly combined.
According to demand and use the Zen mats can be perceived as smooth or robust, but they are always completely natural, climate active and flexible.
In combination with another Zen or a , a comfortable TWIN Futon can be achieved; for this purpose, particularly the variants with horsehair or coconut are suited. The most popular combination: Yasumi 3+2 with Zen R2+6.

Handles assist in lifting heavy mattresses for turning and airing out.
On light Zen and Yasumi futons having handles would be annoyingly prominent and wouldn't improve use.
For the strong types, especially in large sizes, handles help with handling.

The classic futon shape: Top and bottom meet halfway to the seam. Recommended for light / small futons and for futons on a futon sofa.

Our futons are basically natural, undyed, because we weave a strong cloth from fine organic cotton, in a noble satin weave, which meets all requirements and dyeing would affect the material. If you would like color on the futon (e.g. for use as a sofa), please do so with the additional protective cover, colored.
