Nature felt slippers of endangered sheep breeds

Made by what we consider by far the best slipper producer, the traditional Tyrolean manufacturer Gottstein.

Social and regional: colored natural wool with origins from Austria to Scotland. Thereby Gottstein also supports small shepherds who pursue a sustainable local concept and at the same time place special emphasis on the animal welfare of endangered sheep breeds. In addition, the slippers are not only made of robust 100% natural materials but are also anatomically extremely comfortable and relieving formed - a pure walking pleasure. Perfectly handcrafted in Austria.
Only remaining sizes available.

Our types of wool

1. The Tyrolean Stone Sheep

As well material supplier of traditional loden fabrics, robust and durable due to its life in mountain altitudes of up to 2500 m (and more). Fine, mottled color, insensitive to fading. Crimped wool fibers for an exceptional look.

2. Coburg Fox Sheep

Nowadays very rarely found German sheep breed, which is shorn only once a year. The light reddish sheen is the great distinctive feature of this resistant wool type (hence fox sheep).

3. Shetland Sheep

Fine, mottled wool with soft brown tones, which is not shorn, but plucked from the animal, so it can be brushed off. Resistant and yet soft wool from the moors of Scotland from a now as ever endangered, frugal sheep breed.
