FUTON DX 5 – a balanced luxury futon of enormous power.

It offers experienced futon sleepers an impressive comfort experience of sheer wealth and a safe, quiet place to sleep and medium futon strength, up to 90 kg body weight, up to 120 kg with high strength - in any sleeping position.
Three latex layers provide the permanent dynamic comfort and lots of fine natural fibers create the best climate - the wonderful fleece wool on the surface creates a gentle pressure recording and relieves the skin.
A temptation for people who want to treat themselves to something. Also for couples with significantly different physical size and a wide bed a connecting pleasure.

Such a futon cannot be rolled up, but requires little care apart from good ventilation and the occasional turning.

FUTON DX 5 lies well on any surface, from roll-up frames to ergoVlex L.

As standard, all anniversary futons contain horsehair as a climate fiber. Coconut fiber instead of horsehair is possible at no extra charge. Coconut makes the futon a little firmer. If coconut is desired, please enter this in the comment field at checkout.

(**) Short info: Coconut fibre or horse hair? The noticeable difference between coconut fibre and horse hair is very, that you can make the decision according to personal taste. Only at the FUTON DX 2, and the Zen Shiatsu futons it can be felt that the coconut fiber is minimal more fixed.

We have always offered vegan futons (without animal fibers), so of course all our futons can be bought vegan as well. However, the functional quality of the futon is reduced as a result of not using (our clean alpine) wool. The futon requires more care and tends to be harder - an effect that is reinforced by the coconut fibers.
If you live vegan, simply select your favorite futon and order it vegan - the option for it will appear once you selected your desired dimensions and form. We will process cotton (on request also hemp, but this makes the futon harder) instead of wool and coconut instead of horsehair, and the price remains the same.

3x 3cm firm natural latex (100% natural rubber, H5, 85kg/m³ density), builds the base
2x 1000g/m² horsehair (elastic), regulates the climate

2x > 500g/m² french free-range fleece wool "Plein-Air", builds the hygiene filter and regulates moisture

Shape variants

All futons are available in different forms:
Without handles (small, light models like the most TWIN futons),
with turning flaps (the most futon mattresses),
with edge / turning handles (the heavier models).

At 140x200cm handles are useful for handling, absolutely recommended for the heavier futons.
At 160x200cm they're almost necessary to move the futon mattress for turning and airing out.
The models Biofuton DW 6.1 / DW 6.2 are fundamentally fabricated in the variant edge / turning handles.
Some other models are also available in the variant “with edge and turning handles” (may be displayed).

Without handles

Small / light futons don't need handles. Handles are more of an eyesore for a sofa.

Two per long side, recommended from 140cm width for better grip when turning.

Our futons are basically natural, undyed, because we weave a strong cloth from fine organic cotton, in a noble satin weave, which meets all requirements and dyeing would affect the material. If you would like color on the futon (e.g. for use as a sofa), please do so with the additional protective cover, colored.
